As a fellow college marching band student (from Iowa State, hello northern neighbor friends!), I really hope that this works out for you all. We love sharing with younger students all over.

Do you use the magnets to prevent this?

My school's mascot is the Warriors. We used to have a Native American man's head with a feather headdress as the logo until someone deemed it inappropriate and now we are still having logo changes because no one can agree on another manifestation of "warrior". Is it really so offensive, though? When I think of a warrior, I think of the strong, brave, and mighty which are all positive terms. Why would that description still be inappropriate for a Native American? I'm just wondering.

What are you going to do with all of the data once you've finished? Are you planning to sequence any more special cats or animals?
