I respect your choice, but it's weird because I have long held the exact opposite beliefs. I find it repulsive to be pumped full of preservatives and colorants, to have my organs removed and replaced with sawdust (yes, they do this), and then sealed in a box for eternity, completely removed from the life cycle. Yes, there are "all natural" funeral homes, but read the fine print. They're not as natural as they claim. The Jewish tradition of natural burial is nice, but I'm pretty sure a Jewish funeral home won't work with someone who isn't Jewish. Honestly, cremation seems the best and at least my ashes get to feed a tree or whatever. But to each their own.

Does N Korea have any medical schools or do physicians receive training elsewhere? Are hospitals technologically in the dark ages or are they pretty modern?

I wouldn't mind that either, but research funeral homes before you croak. Many insist on the whole chemical sawdust nightmare because, well, that's how they've always done it. There might even be safety regulations about it. I don't think being shoved in a pine box is as easy as you think if you're not Jewish.

Any personal experiences with slaughter houses? I worked as a grunt for the USDA ages ago filing reports, and I saw all kinds of issues about teasing/torturing animals, processing animals that were too sick for human consumption, sexual assault, bribing, unsafe work conditions etc. It seemed like a nightmare.
