Isn't it a little bit incosistent to believe in a religion that oppress women and try to merge the identity of girl/women with this belief? I mean why don't the muslim women think about the gender inequalities in their own belief system?

It IS inherently the religion of islam, that opress women. This religion makes the woman cover themselves, it gives a man the right to marry more than one women etc... When you read the book it obviously favors the men against women. i simply don't get it how you accept these inequalities while you define yourself as feminist.
