GENTLEMEN! TAKE A STEP BACK! I think we can all agree that Diet Coke Lime is the true atrocity, here.

Everybody gambles on a fart and loses now and then.

Edit: Relax, Reddit. It's a joke.

I believe you won the award for most meta thing ever done. What's Larry King like? He's always seemed good natured and funny when he's appeared on Conan for skits or interviews.

Hormones. The heart doesn't need a connection to the brain stem to function: SA node handles that. Nerve connection is for regulating stuff like speeding up in response to increased physical activity and fight or flight. BUT those reactions also occur in response to hormones like adrenaline and cortisol - it just takes a little longer without the hard line to the brain.

Look up NextStep Extremities. Company founded by Randy Theken (pronounced "taken"). I live right up the street from his new pilot plant in Akron, OH and it's incredible what he's doing with this facility. The technology allows for 3D printing using titanium and aluminum, with the ability to make orthopedics, implants, prosthetics, and even aircraft parts that can't be made using traditional machining methods. And at a fraction of the cost. On top of that, it's actual direct 3D printing... metal powder is shot at a substrate so fast that it instantly welds, unlike the older faux 3D metal printing technology that sinters metal powder around a resin sponge - making the piece weak. The future of prosthetics (and manufacturing in general) is here, my friend. I'm just absolutely blown away by what this technology is capable of.
