DMV offices in PA have weird hours. In some cases there are photo centers open one day a week from 9:30-3:15. I've added a link below if you think I'm making this up.

The lines at these DMV centers are absurd. You may arrive at 2PM to a site that closes at 4:15 and NOT BE SEEN. That is a day you've taken off work, wasted. There is also the expense of acquiring docs with the proper seals and good luck if you've been divorced a few times and may have changed your last name back... NO VOTER ID LAWS UNLESS ID IS MANDATORY, FREE AND EASY TO ENSURE FOR ALL CITIZENS.

Military Question - Do you think removing the US from the international mail program will cause issues with absentee ballots from overseas? The program is set to expire in Sept 2020...just in time for chaos. It may explain WV desire to have military vote online although that sounds scary/insecure as fuck to me.

What do you think about election equipment vendors? Are they providing a service to voters or are they in it for the $$. Yesterday Philly discovered undisclosed lobbying on the part of ES&S for the 29M$ contract for the XL. They had an opportunity to void the contract, fine ES&S and select something better. Meeting just ended. BOE voted to keep ES&S and the XL despite the fact that the machines print a barcode and are under re-certification in PA.
ARGH. It seems like PA and the eastern seaboard like full face ballots and expensive insecure equipment. PA advocates for HMPBs are crushed. HELP?

PA Pollworker Here - I support HMPBs for all that are able and BMDs for disability use. The state has allowed counties to select systems that are BMD for all if they want. This seems overly expensive and less secure than voting my paper (especially with many counties selecting the ES&S ExpressVote XL - it's an election, not netflix and chill).
Aside from providing the scientific evidence, is there any way that you would suggest getting the point across to BOE officials and decision makers that HMPB systems are better? The officials make the excuse that disabled voters should not be made to vote on something different. That language seems directly ripped from ES&S promo materials and no one can tell me why we don't have ramps everywhere instead of stairs.
