As an animator myself and a huge anime fan, I can't tell you how much this project means to me. I really hope UTD makes its goal, to open up more avenues for creative projects of such a scale to be funded by the viewers rather than corporate interest. ~Thank you~
On that note, my question to you is:
Do you think that Japan is receptive to crowd-sourcing? I know Kickstarter is mainly a phenomenon in the U.S., but could something similar take off in Japan, and elsewhere in the world?
It would be wonderful to see a truly globally funded project.
