What important principles of music theory do you apply and I should learn as a musician to create weird an beautiful progressions and melodies like the ones in ‘Endors Toi’, ‘Apocalypse dreams’, ‘Sestri Levante’ and even some songs you cover like ‘Stranger in Moscow’ or ‘Prototype’??

There is a whole community of music buffs and music theory nerds (myself included) who analyze every riff and every chord progression you have ever made. Is there any kind of music theory technique to the madness? Strange chord progressions like in ‘Nothing that has happened so far has been anything we could control’ and ‘Apocalypse Dreams’ or even ‘Cause I’m a man’ and weird melodies that don't fit into any one key such as in sestri levante. It seems like you are jumping from chords and scales in parallel modes? (ie. Possibly jumping from B Ionian to B Lydian then back to B Ionian). It amazes me how chord progressions, melodies and riffs that are so conventionally wrong can sound so dayum right. You are a god.

Any advice for a young guitarist on what songs/techniques/theory to practice to become Kevin Parker behind the axe? Not just technique wise but knowledge of music theory? Your chord progresssions don't make sense to me because they don't seem to fit into any one scale but also don't sound jarred or clashy. It gives your music such an amazing edge and separates it from the pack. What theory principle are you using to achieve this? For example, ‘Cause I’m a man’ or ‘Apocalypse Dreams’
