Also, you had one of my favorite Family Guy cameos ever.

Where the shit is that goddamn wolf anyway.

EDIT: yes, I've read the books, I know there are hints, but I want her back for real. :-)

Not a Yang supporter (to be honest, I'm in a late-voting primary state, so my options will probably be 2 or 3 by the time I get to vote anyway) but this was an excellent analysis and discussion of how he can bridge partisan gaps somewhat.

I hope that even if 2020 doesn't work out for him, Andrew continues to stay in politics and advocate for his ideas.

Reddit hobby: blowing people's minds by telling them exactly how psychotically dark Animorphs got in the last 4-5 books.

EDIT: Since so many folks asked, the big highlights (spoilers!!!)

  • The team eventually gets exposed as human (not Andalite) around the same time that the Yeerks decide to abandon subtlety and launch open war on humanity.
  • They use the Escafil Device (blue box) on a bunch of kids with disabilities (ergo, known non-Controllers) and recruit them as an auxiliary force.

  • Eventually, the kids reveal their existence to the Earth military defense forces and lead a co-resistance.

  • Cassie fucks up (sort of) and lets the Yeerks get the morphing power.

  • They bomb the Yeerk pool on the planet and then take over a Pool ship, where Jake commits a minor genocide, ordering 17,000 helpless Yeerks (sentient beings) flushed into space to die.

  • The above is only made possible through a feint by the disabled kids where every single one is massacred by being slowly roasted alive.

  • In the meantime, Jake sends his cousin (Rachel) on a suicide mission to kill his Controller brother (Tom); she succeeds (ending the last danger of the invasion), and then is instantly killed by a Yeerk in polar bear morph.

  • In the aftermath of the war, they all have horrible PTSD; Tobias goes and mourns Rachel in the woods; Ax goes to fight the Yeerk war on other planets. Visser Three is convicted of war crimes and imprisoned.

  • They're called back into action after Ax goes missing; Jake, Marco, and Tobias head into space to find him, while Cassie stays on Earth. When they discover Ax, he's been possessed by some bizarre entity and threatens to "assimilate" them all. Jake orders a seemingly suicidal ramming attack -- "ram the Blade ship" -- and the series ends.
