It finally hit me that I was an alcoholic when I got referred to as a regular at my local liquor store. Came in after work as usual to grab my 24oz beer and there was a new guy working register. Asks me for my ID and the guy training him, whom I’ve seen for years but never really spoke to goes “we don’t ID the regulars, you’ll figure out whose who quickly, there’s not that many…”
