They're codes that unlock additional digital content for a course. You would remember this "additional content" as stuff the instructor photocopied and passed out to the entire class. Now they apparently stick it on a protected online forum/message board/whatever and charge a hundred bucks for a code to access it.

How angry is the Knicks front office about ending up with the 4th pick? I'm assuming there's not a lot of joy about missing on a top two choice.
