Of course people get exploited. People will be exploited in any system. I am exploited for my labor even now. I feel immense stress everyday from work. Highly compensated for it though.

But you can’t deny you are paid based on supply and demand of your given skill set.

There is no pure capitalism or any economic system, but supply and demand is always a major factor.

And the market decides your value. And that’s why you were paid what you were. If you had a more in demand and harder to come by skill you’d be paid more. And yes low skilled work exists. A fedex worker who is told to stack these boxes in the truck is low skilled. You are fully up to speed and capable of doing your task after a 20 minute talk and demonstration.

So it sounds like you are a low skilled worker and barely a tech worker… sure you need a union. But the rest of us engineers making 200k don’t want your interference.
