To answer your question I've always loved radio jingles from since I can remember. It was listening to the jingles on Capital FM in London that first made me go "wow, I need to know how that's done". Then through some self tuition and the help of great mentors at the first radio stations I worked at I managed to make a career out of jingle creation. I love what I do and that's what encourages me to keep on creating more :)

Good, self tuition is where it's at. It's nice to have people teach you but to really carve your own style you just have to plug away by yourself and do what feels good.

That's quite a specific job you have there. Were you a child when you had the idea that you wanted to be a pro radio jingle creator? Or did it just stem off of audio producer? Did you get the idea from watching television, music or what have you?

As for a jingle, I've finally began to try and dedicate myself to becoming a more effective person at my education, to study and revise plenty everyday. Right now I'm just procrastinating though, and that's no good. I'd appreciate it if you made this jingle for me. Thanks :>

I had some fun with autotune on this one ;)

It was listening to music radio that first got me in to making radio jingles. I always loved the way the sounded in between the songs. The deep powerful voice overs, the singing bits, the comedy and art involved in branding a radio station and giving it a unique sound. That's what inspired me along with my love for tweaking audio :)

I have often thought this would be such a cool job how do get into this line of work? And does it pay the bills

I started out at hospital radio, then did virtually every single job (including on the air) at local radio stations. I created jingles for these stations in my spare time. It's something I love to do. I had some wonderful teachers and experimented myself.

Now, I run an online business along with my wife making jingles. I feel blessed to be able to do exactly what I love each and every day.
